So I lost my phone a couple of days ago but I’ll load my updated adventures tonight… It’s been rather nice not having a phone. Of course people worry don’t they but they shouldn’t… I’m going to try to purposefully forget my phone a bit more from now… can’t be a bad thing can it…Continue reading “ET phone EE”
We sometimes look for things that just aren’t out there. We forget what we have, in our pursuit for perfection… Try to make the most of what you have today with an honest and open mind, it’s probably much better than you thought… Hope you have a relaxing Sunday
I know I’m close to the end but I’ve taken a day off today to plan my route around The Wash on Googull Earth Maps tomorrow… Oh please don’t look at me like that….
Nighttime demons can come out to play but hopefully we make it through…and get a chance to do another day… I’m going for a walk today without my bike, what are you doing…?
I couldn’t find Great Yarmouth this morning although I was in it. No I wasn’t drunk from the night before, unlike some… It was Foggy, Sea Misty, basically I couldn’t sea / see, so I decided to head inland. Initially across the fens and then turn in when I got bored of the flatness…. TheContinue reading “Day 46, Fog, fugitives and the good old Greeks and their husbands…”
life and lockdown can me a bit of a circus can’t it? Good news is that there is always an interval, ice cream and it eventually ends…. Don’t become a human cannonball today… Happy Friday everyone
It’s funny how.. no it’s not. It’s a nightmare when reality comes along and gives us a kick in the teeth isn’t it? After such a great day yesterday I was up early, ready to take on a great ride to Great Yarmouth where one of my grandmothers lived the late-life dream….playing penny slots inContinue reading “Day 45, A last laugh, 2000 miles passed, and a fair exchange for an old silver jug….”
we can waste a lot of time and energy caring about what others think. Fact is we don’t actually know… and often we are wrong. Catherine Tate wasn’t bothered…I don’t give two hoots… I hope today you stay positive and don’t worry either… we are all fine just the way we are
Difficult to know where to start and what NOT to include today as I have many teenage memories from being with a friend and his vast family in Aldeburgh, happy days. My guide this morning showed me the scenic way out of Ipswich and I was quickly on country roads heading for Woodbridge and Melton.Continue reading “Day 44, Old holiday haunts and good memories…a”
Sometimes we take the wrong turns in life don’t we? The good news is that there is always a route back or maybe sunnier days are ahead….
My route today took. My route today was meant to take…me from Colchester down the river Stour / estuary to Harwich. Then across to Felixstowe and onto Ipswich. The Stour is not good for sun-worshipers and sandcastle designers but is a haven for naturists. No not that sort…bird watchers…oh you know what I mean, menContinue reading “Day 43, Two sunken ships and a fury smuggler…”
We’re not out of it yet and many mates may be finding lockdown, isolation and loneliness tough… stay in touch with them, it’s so easy and you may help more than you ever imagined… Happy Tuesday everyone…
I had previously been worried about cycling through gangland Essex…The signs were everywhere, strange accents , white trainers, every home had a Range Rover in the drive but no one shot me and I’m nearly in Suffolk now, so fingers crossed. I jest of course though there were a few ‘punchy’ Essex’s ladies that I’mContinue reading “Day 42, Crisp mornings, Sympathetic timber cladding and White trainer drive by shootings…”
I was interested to hear that some people think I’m breaking the law by doing this ride. I have said before I do feel lucky and a little guilty to have this freedom at the moment. I want to be clear that I have not been offered, or stayed in anyone’s house with them duringContinue reading “I want to ride my bicycle…”
It was an early start this morning. Sunday’s are the best days for us MAMIL’s to be out on the road, and dare I say. accepted on the roads. Well maybe everyone else is just in less of a rush. The high street in shorditch on sea / Whitstable was dead. The odd middle agedContinue reading “Day 41 – TOWIE”
